Where it all Started
Bobby first designed and used our Delta Twin Step and "Drop Chine” bottom design, by adapting the design to a 36 Apache. Once the design was complete, Bobby marketed and raced this boat under the name Newtech, which later became Chief. Bobby raced his factory 36 Newtech in the F2 class with much success. Only a handful of these original 36's were built and sold, but we are now in the process of tooling the molds to once again build this great boat that started it all for Chief.

The capability of this boat for its compact size is unrivaled in performance, stability, and agility. This boat is also ideally suited for the performance boat enthusiast who wants big water capability and performance, but in a somewhat smaller package, without sacrificing cabin size. The raised deck of the 36 offers a tall and spacious interior cabin that will accommodate plenty of guests or family members. With the weight and size of the 36, an average tow vehicle can be used without needing a dually or medium-duty truck to tow with. The smaller package is also better suited for more compact ramps and launches.
