Q: Stepped Hull vs Traditional Hull, what's the best option?

The Reverse Delta Step design allows the bottom of the boat to ventilate the wetted surface to reduce drag while maintaining engagement in the water for maximum stability not only when going straight, but also when turning.

Q: I am looking for a custom powerboat, not a production boat, can I really choose the options that I want with a Chief?

Chief’s tooling and designs allow custom fabrication of every inch of the boat. No two boats are alike. At Chief, the entire process is built about what you want. You will be surrounded by our team of powerboat enthusiast that are dedicated to providing you with the best on-the-water experience. After your first step aboard a Chief, you’ll feel right at home, as each and every decision made has been 100% designed and engineered for you at every turn. This provides a truly one-of-kind experience as all ergonomics, aesthetics, and functionality of each component and system are working for you. Whether the goal is luxury, pleasure, or race, your Chief will be performance engineered exactly for you, so that your next day on the water is full of excitement and exhilaration!

Q: Chief's hull steps appear different that most other brands on the market, why is that?

The drop chine provides added stability and engagement in turns, allowing the boat to be turned safely at high speeds. It also provides a stern lift, which allows the bottom steps to ventilate the wetted surface properly.
